The World Press Photo exhibition is now open in London's Borough Yards
Today, on World Press Freedom Day, the World Press Photo Exhibition arrived in London and opened its doors to the public in Borough Yards, SE1
The touring exhibition showcases the winners of the World Press Photo Contest 2024, who were named at an official ceremony in the Netherlands in April.
The ceremony, which took place at De Nieuwe Kerk, also marked the grand opening of the exhibition, which will stop in London until 27 May, 2024. It will then continue its journey to Rome, Berlin, Sydney, Rio de Janeiro, Montreal and many more global destinations.
Visitors can view prints of powerful images that took accolades this year, including the overall winner; Mohammed Salem’s sobering depiction of unimaginable personal loss in the Israel-Gaza conflict.
