Vanguard Alta Pro 3VLT travel tripod series released

This series is aimed squarely at hybrid creators, with Vanguard telling us it aims to address the growing need for video-capable tripods that are easy to transport.

The Alta Pro 3VLT is travel-friendly. With a folded length of 54cm, a slim profile with a diameter of 6cm and a weight starting at 1.155kg, it meets IATA hand luggage guidelines.

A notable feature of this tripod is its CNC-machined levelling system, crafted from aircraft-grade aluminium. The system offers ±15° tilt and 360° rotation, enabling quick levelling on uneven terrain.

The tripod extends to a height of 148cm and supports a maximum load of 5kg, providing stability for cameras, long lenses or spotting scopes.

The series offers two head options: the VEO PV-10 for traditional two-point support and the lighter VEO PV-12. Both are Arca-compatible and include tilt and pan locks, a counterbalance mechanism and a 21.5cm handle for precise adjustments.

Additional features include rubber or spiked feet for varied surfaces and two 1/4″ accessory threads for mounting tools like microphones or lights.
