The Alpha 7C series with high-resolution sensor promises performance for travel and street photographers
Sony releases two additions to the a7C series of compact full-frame interchangeable lens cameras in the form of the Alpha 7C II and Alpha 7C R. With a high-resolution sensor and the best in image and video performance, the pair can meet the demand of social media content creators looking for mobility and high quality.
Alpha 7C II
The Alpha 7C II possesses a full-frame image sensor with 33.0 effective megapixels and features the latest technology. Weighing just 513g, this second-generation camera is celebrated for its combination of performance and portability, essential for getting the best out of your travel and street photography.
Alpha 7C R
The Alpha 7C R, meanwhile, is a compact version, offering full-frame interchangeable lens capabilities and 61.0 effective megapixels thanks to the very same sensor found in the 7R V. A decent option for daily snapshots, the camera also offers a good option for portrait, wildlife and landscape photography.
Both models are equipped with the same AI-processing unit and BIONZ XR® processors found in cameras such as Sony’s Alpha 7R V and Alpha 6700. With real-time Recognition AF, 5-axis in-body stabilisation and 4k60p recording, these cameras support high-quality video shooting for a variety of scenarios.
Over the past 11 years, Sony has replaced around 395 tonnes of virgin plastic with recycled plastic in the production of its digital cameras.
