Samyang introduces Prima Series with AF 35mm F1.4 lens for Sony

The Prima Series represents the company’s third generation of lens technology and Samyang tells us that it takes its name from the Latin word Prima, meaning ‘first’ or ‘important,’ reflecting its role in advancing the brand’s product line.

The new line is aimed at providing high level features at an afforable price.

Key features of the AF 35mm F1.4 P FE

The AF 35mm F1.4 P FE uses the Sony E-mount, so is compatible with Sony full-frame mirrorless cameras.

The AF 35mm F1.4 P FE is extremely portable, weighing just 470g, and this portability is complemented by weather sealing. With the addition of minimal focus breathing, this lens is good for handheld video work.

Close-up photography is also well supported, with a minimum focus distance of 0.3m. Add weather-sealing to this and you have a versatile lens that’s well-suited to many photography styles.
