Nikon Z9 firmware update V5.10 adds video features

Nikon has rolled out firmware version 5.10 for its flagship full-frame mirrorless camera, the Z9, enhancing its video capabilities

The Z9 firmware update introduces a new shutter mode that lets users set the shutter angle across 15 increments from 5.6° to 360°. This eliminates the need to manually adjust shutter speed when changing frame rates, ensuring optimal motion blur consistency.

Additional enhancements include the ability to customise the zebra pattern colour, as well as adjust the size, transparency and position of on-screen brightness tools like the histogram and waveform monitor. These updates simplify exposure monitoring, particularly in high-contrast filming environments.
