The new Nikkor Z 24mm f/1.8 S adds another versatile option for Nikon’s full-frame mirrorless Z systems.
With a minimum focus distance of 0.25m and extensive weather sealing, Nikon’s new wide-angle offers real versatility. Nikon promises edge-to-edge sharpness from close-up to infinity, even at the lens’s widest aperture. Image quality is topped off by a smooth bokeh and reduced lens flare thanks to an anti-reflective nano crystal coat.
The new S-Line prime also promises fast and quiet autofocus. This opens the lens up to filmmakers, as well as still photographers, as Nikon assures users of near-silent control over aperture, exposure compensation and focus.
Robert Harmon, senior commercial planning manager, Nikon UK, said: “The Nikkor Z 24mm f/1.8 S gives Nikon Z shooters the freedom to work with available light in practically any situation. Plus, its close focusing performance is outstanding: the sharpness is incredible, even when you focus the lens on close-up subjects or object details.”
The Nikkor Z 24mm f/1.8 S is on sale from 17 October at an RRP of £1,049.
