A top-down photograph of a beach where a lone paddleboarder stands next to a paddleboard. The board is positioned near the edge of the water, and the waves gently lap at the shore, creating a contrast between the blue water and the brown sand.
An aerial photograph showcasing a winding river meandering through a flat landscape. The sun casts long shadows across the fields and water, and the scene is framed by a distant horizon and a clear sky.
An aerial photograph capturing a rolling landscape blanketed in mist. The hills and fields are lightly dusted with frost, and a line of trees divides the scene, creating a serene and ethereal atmosphere under a clear blue sky.
An aerial photograph of a vibrant green field with a single, large tree at its centre. The field shows circular patterns created by farming machinery, adding texture and interest to the lush green expanse.

The Wildlife Photography Workshop

Written by Ben Hall and Ross Hoddinott, this book is a 2024 updated version of the original release from 2013. It is a practical guide offering expert advice on photographing birds, mammals, plants and insects.

Designed as a ‘workshop in book form’, it covers equipment, exposure, composition, lighting and post-processing.

The book includes in-depth chapters on locating and photographing wildlife, complete with creative reader assignments and ethically captured images by the authors (see below).
