LCE Photographer of the Year 2025 now open for entries
The LCE Photographer of the Year 2025 competition has officially opened for submissions following a successful 2024 debut that drew over 13,000 entries
Organised by independent UK retailer London Camera Exchange (LCE), the contest celebrates photographers of all skill levels, offering a total of £10,000 in prizes across 14 diverse categories.
New for this year is the ‘Emerging Talent’ category, aimed at photography students, with prizes that benefit both the student and their educational institution.
Entrants can submit their work online or in person at any of LCE’s 26 stores nationwide. Participants can choose from categories including Action, Portrait, Wildlife, and the popular ‘People’s Choice’, a publicly voted award.
The deadline for submissions is 21 January 2025, with early entries gaining increased visibility in the public voting segment.
The LCE Photographer of the Year 2025 competition is sponsored by industry leaders Canon, Nikon and Sony, with additional support from Fujifilm and OM System.
Prizes include LCE vouchers, with the top winner receiving £3,000. Winners will be celebrated at an awards ceremony at The Photography & Video Show in March 2025 at ExCeL London, where shortlisted images will be showcased in an exhibition and commemorative book.
Entries are open to global participants aged 18 and over, though only UK residents are eligible for prizes. Full competition details are available at the competition website.
