Posted on Nov 4, 2024
The Kraszna Krausz Photography Book Symposium 2024 will take place at the Victoria and Albert Museum on 19 November 2024
Organised in partnership with the Kraszna Krausz Foundation, the event aims to bring together key voices in photography book publishing, with a programme highlighting recent works and discussions on contemporary themes.
Starting at 17:00, the symposium will feature presentations from three photographers whose work addresses topics including migration, historical legacies, and activism.
Hristina Tasheva will present Far Away From Home: The Voices, the Body and the Periphery, a self-published work exploring identity and migration.
Lewis Bush will discuss Depravity’s Rainbow, which examines the connections between space exploration and its historical origins.
Alice Proujansky will share insights into Hard Times are Fighting Times, a book reflecting on her family’s legacy of activism.
An in-conversation session chaired by Duncan Forbes, Head of Photography at the V&A, will follow, with a drinks reception concluding the event in the museum’s Silver Galleries.
Founded in 1985, the Kraszna Krausz Foundation seeks to recognise excellence in photography and moving image publishing, with this symposium reflecting its ongoing commitment to supporting critical perspectives in visual storytelling.
