Eizo Corporation has announced the release of the ColorEdge Prominence CG1 reference monitor with built-in calibration sensor
The CG1 model is the latest addition to Eizo’s ColorEdge lineup, and boasts a 30.5-inch DCI-4K HDR display, high levels of brightness and a built-in calibration sensor.
Display Features
The CG1 model succeeds the ColorEdge Prominence CG3146, offering a brightness of 1000 cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. It supports hybrid log-gamma (HLG) and the perceptual quantization (PQ) curve, designed to facilitate display and editing of HDR content across various media.
The monitor also features a built-in calibration sensor, first introduced in Eizo’s HDR reference monitors. According to Eizo, the sensor is designed to maintain colour accuracy over time and simplify colour management for production studios.
Connectivity Features
When used with EIZO’s ColorNavigator 7 software and network service it is possible to take centralized control of ColorEdge monitors in multiple locations – handy for remote production teams all working on the same project in different locations.
Availability
Eizo will showcase the ColorEdge Prominence CG1 at the NAB Show 2024 in Las Vegas and The Media Production & Technology Show in London. The monitor is scheduled for shipping at the end of 2024, with availability varying by region.
