Eizo introduces ColorEdge CG2400S monitor

The new model follows the CG2420 and is the first in the series to feature HDR workflow support and a housing made from recycled plastic, aligning with Eizo’s sustainability efforts.

The Eizo ColorEdge CG2400S offers a WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution on a 24.1-inch display, with a contrast ratio of 1800:1, the highest in the ColorEdge CG lineup. This is intended to enhance black levels and shadow details. A retardation film is included to mitigate colour distortion from viewing angles, aiming to maintain tonal consistency.

For HDR workflows, the CG2400S supports Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) and Perceptual Quantization (PQ) curves, designed to offer a more accurate visual representation of high dynamic range content.

The USB Type-C input enables a single-cable connection to laptops, potentially reducing cable clutter. It also provides up to 70W of power, which may reduce the need for an additional laptop charger.

The monitor includes Eizo’s built-in calibration technology and ColorNavigator 7 software, which automate colour accuracy maintenance without requiring external calibration tools. The Sync Signal function adjusts monitor settings based on incoming video signals, while the Pixel Inspection feature allows users to verify colour accuracy in video production workflows.

The CG2400S is the first ColorEdge monitor to incorporate over 85% recycled plastic in its construction. Additionally, it is packaged in moulded pulp made from recycled paper, which may help reduce environmental impact.

The Eizo ColorEdge CG2400S is scheduled for release from April 2025. More details can be found on the Eizo website.
