With just under a month remaining before the competition closes, organisers aim to inspire more entries by sharing a selection of submissions, including a three-headed giraffe and a laid-back sloth.
Founded in 2015 by professional photographers Paul Joynson-Hicks MBE and Tom Sullam, the competition seeks to highlight the importance of wildlife conservation through humour.
The competition is open to the public and free to enter, with some great prizes up for grabs. The top photographer will win a safari in Kenya’s Maasai Mara with Alex Walker’s Serian and a handcrafted trophy from The Wonder Workshop in Tanzania.
Other prizes include a Nikon Z30 for the Junior Category winner, a Nikon Z8 kit, and an iPad with Affinity Photo software for the Young Photographer winner. All category winners will also receive a camera bag from sponsor ThinkTANK.
In celebration of its decade-long journey, the Comedy Wildlife Awards will host a week-long free exhibition of the 2024 finalists at the Gallery@Oxo in London from 10-16 December, where winners will be announced.
The deadline for entries is 31 July, for more details on how to enter, visit the Comedy Wildlife Awards website.
