Canon introduces an action camera to its line-up

The Ivy Rec is waterproof, shockproof and extremely compact.

Canon’s new Ivy Rec is designed for the adventurous image-maker. Packing a fairly impressive 13-megapixel sensor – impressive by action camera standards, at least – and Full HD video shooting up to 60fps, the new addition promises impressive image quality.

The Ivy Rec weighs just 90g and features a clip that allows the camera to be attached to a bag, belt loop or anything similar. Waterproof for 30 up to minutes at a depth of 2 metres and designed to withstand an impact from up to 2 metres, the camera is designed to survive the elements and challenging environments.

Users can view and share their images by connecting to the Canon Mini Cam app via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

The Canon Ivy Rec will be on sale with an RSP of £119.99. A date is yet to be confirmed.
