Photography theory course
You’ll begin by learning about the exposure triangle, discovering how aperture, shutter speed and ISO affect your resulting image. Next, you’ll cover the basics of composition, lighting and camera functions, before finishing with an overview of post-processing techniques and why they are important.
There are 10 lessons in total, nine of which conclude with an exercise that aims to help you put everything you’ve learned into practice.
By the time you’ve completed this course you’ll possess a solid basic understanding of all aspects of the image-making process – the perfect foundation from which to build your knowledge.
This course has been designed for beginners looking to take their first serious steps in photography. We’ve kept the jargon to a minimum and made sure complex topics are easy to digest.
It’s perfect if you:
- are a casual smartphone shooter wanting to take photography more seriously;
- have just purchased your first camera and aren’t sure where to start;
- are a content creator looking to up your game;
- simply love photography and want to understand it better.
