Syrp Genie Micro available now

Posted on Dec 10, 2020

Adding to its existing line-up of motion control devices, Syrp’s latest offering, the Genie Micro, functions as a smart remote for mirrorless and DSLR cameras. The Genie Micro offers control over a broad range of remote functions when using Syrp’s flagship Genie system. User interface comes by way of the brand’s free app.

The Genie itself is a motion controller designed for video and time-lapse photography, and while newer products like the Genie Mini II, launched in Summer 2019, offer app control, the Genie Micro offers more control than ever in conjunction with a wider range of the brand’s devices.

Live Control mode enables users to adjust exposure levels through aperture, shutter speed or ISO, or trigger a photo or video without touching the camera. Users can also set parameters like record time, intervals and playback time.

The Genie Micro fits into the camera’s hot shoe, then connects via the Syrp Link cable for triggering only, or via USB for the full range of advanced controls. App control is possible within a 10m radius through integrated Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

The Syrp Genie Micro is available at £139.48. For more information, visit the Syrp website.
