Built from the ground up, the pioneering EOS R system offers a revolution in image sharpness, with richer, more detailed results. The EOS R will be the first camera to feature the RF lens mount with a 12-pin connection, flange back distance of 20mm and a wide 54mm mount diameter, enabling even greater flexibility for lens design.
The RF 50mm f/1.2L USM is an extremely fast 50mm f/1.2 L-series prime lens, in fact the fastest lens in its class, offering sharpness and depth in a new league. The RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM is an L-series zoom lens and the first full-frame Canon lens to feature Nano USM, making it ideal for film makers, with smooth focussing and superb control. The lens range also includes the 28-70mm f/2L USM, and 35mm f/1.8 MACRO IS STM.
The EOS R can accomplish completely silent shooting, so it’s ideal for moments when subtlety and discretion are paramount, such as street shooting and weddings. It also offers hugely impressive filmmaking features, such as stunning 4K video and full audio control. With DPP express Raw image software, the editing and display of high quality images has a dynamic range.
Almost every aspect of the EOS is customisable to the user, expanding creative control and possibilities. Three new lens mount adapters allow you to have every lens at your fingertips. The camera’s refined body comprises weather-sealed, robust magnesium alloy, and users can enjoy shooting for longer periods with the comfortable hand grip and intuitive layout.
In addition to all this, Canon is strengthening its input-to-output offering with a new print software solution. Included within the software is the new DPRAW print function, enabling printing in high definition. This function offers the ability to process depth map information from DPRAW files, enabling reproduction of sharp details and textures just as the photographer intended.
